The Town of Peru
Water Department is in the process of upgrading our water meter technology.
We are requesting that if you receive a letter or door card
to please contact us ASAP and schedule an appointment to have your equipment
repaired or replaced. Currently, the
Town has in use four different remote reading devices and needs to upgrade the
oldest equipment. Eventually the goal is
to convert the entire Water District to radio read which makes reading more
efficient and eliminates the need to walk up to each individual house. Those customers who fail to respond to our
correspondence for repair or replacement of equipment could possibly receive
higher water bills due to inaccurate readings.
