The Peru Ski Club
The conditions skiing our first few times have been fantastic. Although there has been a lack of natural snow on the mountain, Whiteface has done a fantastic job getting the trails prepared with manmade snow. We look forward to a great season of fun in the snow.	The Peru Ski Club has officially started its 2012 season. This year’s club is over 150 members strong with both Skiers and Snowboarders taking advantage of a great program offered by Whiteface Mountain. In just 3 years, the club has increased eight times over in size. Our ski club skis six Sundays throughout the year and each student in the club receives a two- hour lesson every Sunday.

Baseball & Softball Season  We have started our early planning phase of this year’s baseball and softball seasons. Registration for all sports including Baseball, Softball, Summer Sports and Soccer will be on Friday March 30th and Saturday March 31st. Baseball & Softball clinics will be held later in April with practices starting in May. The Early Bird Tournament will be held on Saturday, June 2. We look to have a record setting year with kids participating this season and with the rapid growth of our program comes the need for more volunteers. New Playground Proposed This year, we are looking to add another playground set at the Laphams Mills Recreational Park. This new playground would be added to the newer section of the park to accommodate people watching games being played at the far end of the fields. This project is still under discussion, but we hope to be going forward with this very shortly.
